Sometimes you just have to eat some Oreos

It is 4:01 a.m. and I'm doing a little Etsy-ing and artsy-ing and yes I am eating Oreos. I know this is not the place to discuss boring grown-up concerns but... um–I went on a self imposed diet of sorts (gasp, yes it is true!) for the last couple of months and have been really good about not eating too many desserts, but you know, every once in a while a girl needs to have her cookies, and my cookie of choice is delicious!

ps: I also had a Haagen Dazs vanilla ice-cream bar covered with chocolate and almond at the movies and it was glorious.

I- will-not-feel-quilty!
(at least til morning. Oh wait it is morning. ha!)

I know, I know! This blog is about Endless Desserts. I won't talk of diets again!

Me and an Oreo

Couldn't help myself...just had to illustrate how I was feeling!

Not one but TWO Strawberry Cakes

I had to make not one but 2 strawberry cakes...

I tried to get a picture of them before they got eaten... too late.

Its another "petite sandwiches" theme this year.

For my 2 little doll's joint birthday party the invitation said, "endless desserts" so I had to deliver. I made 2 strawberry cakes, chocolate chip fudge cupcakes, a variety of cookies and other scrumptiousness. I went with the 2 strawberry cakes instead of a different cake because when you have two little girls, they have to have matching everything or someone gets upset and throws a tantrum!
The sandwiches menu included the classic PB&J, organic turkey and provelone cheese, roast beef and blue cheese and a spicy buffalo chicken on roll. Throw in a couple fancy pizzas and we had a party!
My Mini cakes enjoyed her big yummy cake!

Cake on the Mind

I have cake on the mind. It is birthday time here at the dollhouse and we are having a little soiree this Sunday for the little ladies. Princess LaLa (who turns 3 on Tuesday) is requesting a strawberry cake...the same one I made for her first birthday which was quite a hit.

But of course we had a tea party theme...

Should I do another tea party this year? ...and what will my 2nd cake be?...
Contemplating Red Velvet.
..

We will need two cakes this year since we are also celebrating my little ones 1st birthday (which has past but still, a girl needs a big party).

ps: The Strawberry cake and frosting recipes can be found at All Recipes.com,
The frosting is a cream cheese frosting.
